FIRE STOPPING

In any fire compartmented building it is essential that all service penetrations, openings and other gaps and imperfections in compartment elements are adequately fire-stopped or sealed to restrict the spread of fire & smoke and reinstate thermal and acoustic standards.

Those involved in the supply chain process must consider a number of factors including the required level of fire resistance, what services are, or may, be contained within the aperture, how the fabric of the building will react and move in a fire, load bearing or impact resistance requirements, thermal movement or other ambient conditions, designed acoustic reduction performance and any other specific needs relevant to the building’s use and occupation.

We supply and install fire, thermal and acoustic tested systems to meet all specification requirements, having developed our own brand product range with market-leading manufacturer FSi, who afford us full technical support and ensure we bring the latest innovations to the work place to comply with industry standards, test procedures and environmental targets.

FSI training, coupled with regular in-house and site refresher courses provided by our own dedicated QA/HS manager, enable us to deliver “right first time” installations, thereby keeping costs and re-visits to a minimum.

Our purpose built premises with a large storage facility enables us to hold significant quantities of materials. This allows us to respond rapidly to site requirements, make deliveries at short notice using our own drivers, pass on the discounts we have achieved through economies of scale and make us highly competitive.

We can also install all other major manufacturer’s fire stopping materials when determined by client specification.

FIRE BATTS

Our 50mm Fire Batt is a coated stone wool board used to reinstate the fire resistance performance of flexible & rigid wall and rigid floor constructions where apertures are penetrated by single or multiple services.

Our Fire Batt is tested with a variety of services including multi composite pipes, metallic pipes, plastic pipes, all with or without insulation, cable trays and cables, as well as smoke extract and fire resistant ducts.

Our PipeBloc and Pyropro HPE range of reactive products has been tested for use with Fire Batt.

HPE SEALANT

Fire Delay HPE (High Pressure Exerting) Sealant is a water based, acrylic sealant utilising a reactive formula that has intumescent properties to reinstate the fire resistance performance of wall and floor constructions where the penetrations of single or multiple services are present.

Our HPE Sealant expands upon contact with heat, the high pressure reactive process ensures that the material will expand up to 20 times under an expansion pressure of 7 bar.

The Sealant is gunned or trowelled into the annular space in or between the separating elements to a specific depth in order to maintain the fire resistance of the construction in the event of a fire.

INTUMESCENT MASTIC

Our Fire Delay Intumescent is a water based acrylic sealant used to reinstate the fire resistance of wall and floor constructions where apertures are penetrated by multiple services and linear gap seals where wall and floor constructions abut. It is extensively tested for global requirements.

PIPE WRAP

Fire Delay PWP Wraps are designed and tested to seal service penetration apertures containing plastic pipes formulated with thermoplastic composites based on reactive intumescent technology.

The individual PWP Wraps have been developed to provide a high volume expansion and pressure seal during a fire and can be used to a maximum diameter of 200mm. The ultra-thin design of the PWP wraps ensures that they can be installed into the tightest of locations.

Fire delay EL is designed and tested to seal service penetration apertures containing plastic and metallic pipes both with and without insulation. It has been formulated with thermoplastic composites based on reactive intumescent technology, and developed to provide a high volume expansion and high pressure seal in the event of a fire.

EL offers a solution on pipes with a maximum diameter of 200mm with a variety of wall thicknesses for internal and external applications. The ultra-thin design ensures that the EL wrap can be installed in to the tightest of locations. Our EL can be installed in flexible wall, rigid wall, and rigid floor and can also be installed directly in to the Fire Delay Batt System seal.

PIPE COLLARS

Fire Delay PCP Collars are designed and tested to seal service penetration apertures containing plastic and metallic pipes both with and without insulation. Our Collars have been developed to provide a high volume expansion and pressure seal in the event of a fire and can be used on pipes to a maximum diameter of 250mm for internal and external applications.

The ultra-thin profile of the Collar shells, a depth of 30mm or 40mm, allows for the installation into the tightest of locations, regardless of wall or floor application.

Our PCP Collars can be installed on flexible wall, rigid wall, and rigid floor, and can also be installed directly on to the Fire Delay Batt System seal.
